Behind the cheeky name is a social enterprise from Cape Town, South Africa, with a very simple idea: every time you buy a pair of socks, a child gets a pair of school socks. Here's their story, and why we're proud to bring them to India, exclusively at Madons.

A sock company with a mission

Sexy Socks was founded in Cape Town by Dave Hutchison. The idea came from a problem that's easy to miss: in many families, school socks are often the last thing to be bought. In winter, that means children going to school with cold, bare feet.

So the company was built around a promise known as pair for pair: for every pair of Sexy Socks sold, a pair of school socks goes to a child in need in South Africa.

The brand's mission is just as direct: "To warm the toes of every child in South Africa." More than 750,000 pairs have been donated so far, and the next goal is one million.

Why bamboo?

Sexy Socks are made from a soft bamboo blend. Bamboo fibre is:

Soft. Smoother against the skin than many everyday socks.
Breathable. It lets heat and moisture move away from your feet, which matters on warm, sticky days.
Fresh. Bamboo socks have a reputation for staying fresher for longer between washes.
